Happy Birthday to our dear niece. She was born on her parent's 2nd anniversary so this being their 10th, they celebrated apart this year. That is what Grandmas and Aunties and Uncles are for... to fill in! :-) So here are the pictures from her day. We had a pizza lunch at Great Grandma's... with a candle in some ice cream.
Then, we headed to the Grand Ol Valley Zoo here in Edmonton... it's a
pathetic zoo at the best of times, so in winter, even more so. However,
it was an hour or so of fresh air, looking at the animals... Chelsea was
petrified of Lucy the Elephant! I included the tiger picture here to
prove that there really are animals at this zoo!!! :-)
Afterwards, it was back to Steve and Jen's (minus them!) for supper... Hayley had requested carrot cake for her REAL birthday, so Grandma had made that for her in cupcake form. Then, crazy gma thought she could handle the kids for a sleepover. We brought Natalie home, and the others spent the night. So yes, it's quiet around here this morning! However, Natalie is worth about 10 children all on her own. I sort of crashed last night, and Natalie got out of bed, and thinking she was hungry... made a slight mess that her and gimped Glen attempted to clean up. Not a bad effort actually! :-)
