Adventure #1: Monday this week.... I went for a wee coffee date with
Char, while Glen watched the kids. This is a Monday night routine... one
that I thoroughly enjoy! Well... due to the sinus cold I felt hit with,
I'd been doping myself up at night with Nyquil. I have been loving it's
effects of making me sleep better than a baby! Sunday night I guess I
didn't put the lid back on properly. Natalie got ahold of it and drank
away... some made the floor, and her shirt! So we're not sure how much
she got. Glen called the Poison Control Center. They were super good.
Did you know that it only take 2 tablespoons to be toxic?! Natalie
enjoyed the taste of it which was the scary part! There was probably
only 2-3 Tbsp's left in the bottle so who knows. We were told we could
take her into emerg and they could give her an antidote to lower the
tylenol levels in her system. I figured... NAH... she'll just hav a good
sleep. She did! The next morning though she was acting a bit tipsy
still... bumping into things, swollen eyes etc! Poor kid! The Poison Control Center even called back 24 hours later to make sure she was ok. Great service from them!
