Ahh.... Yes there was school today, no the busses weren't running. The hwy was dark, icy and trecherous to say the least. Several teachers who work in the city who actually braved the commute were wishing they hadn't. One who lives close to us said it took her 1.5 hours to get to work, rather than 20min! So... I took it upon myself to use the principal's email to my advantage! I wasn't anxious and nervous about making the drive with 3 lil ones in the back. So last night I put my favourite sub on standby, and booked her in this morning! Apparently, I'm the only one who stayed put but it sure was a great day! A great long nap in front of the fire place, kids playing well together. Ahhhhh.... Although I do feel like a loser being that the Aussie teacher who is on exchange and only been here for 2 weeks, made the drive. She did up with another teacher and followed her. Anyways... that's our snow day! So another 3 day work week for me! Last week I booked a personal day to go scrapbooking on Friday-Saturday!!! We're meant to get another 5cm on Thursday so hope that's not accompanied by too much wind! We got 35cm this week-end! What's another 5?!!! Stay warm!
