Good Morning 2011!

Here it is... 11 years after the world was meant to end!! :-) 11 years ago this month, Glen came back to Canada to begin a new life with me! Definitely a lucky girl I am. Although on these chilly days, I often wonder, why didn't we move back to Australia?!! But I know that wasn't meant to be and we are very happy and settled in our place here in Edmonton. Glen often dreams of working in these foreign places. While it seems all exciting the idea of wanderlust gets less appealing each year! I think that if we weren't professing, we would definitely be full of wanderlust! Some desires lose their appeal quickly and we're just thankful to be settled and enjoy our precious lil family.

After such a busy week around the house, the kids needed to get out and do something! Mia LOVES to skate so that's what she decided she wanted to do for her birthday. So along with the Hughes, off we went to Millennium Place to skate and then we went swimming afterwards. It was quite busy but the kids had a lot of fun. Afterwards we had supper and the evening back at Darrick and Char's. Saw the new year in playing Scrabble and Crainium. I wish I'd gotten a picture of D on the floor laughing soooo hard at his wife's drawing of a "turkey" !!!! You had to be there! :-) I lost miserably in all games. I was a good loser though, right???????????????????????????????????????????? We won't mention sausage throwing or anything.
