We're here!

And we have come with a vengeance!!!! Oh my!!! First of all though, you know how sometimes your kids just simply test you on every level and you wonder how they'll ever turn out? Ya, I have a lot of those moments... however, sometimes they just shock and amaze you! I've had a few little glimpses lately of just how they will turn out... I have no doubt, but absolute faith, that they will turn out to be great kids, great human beings period!!!
I was so impressed with how well they travelled down here to Florida. I didn't hear one complaint or one whine... now that's bliss! They've always been great travellers but it never ceases to amaze me just how well they always do!
Tonight was another moment... the kids were tired and hot. But there they were in gospel meeting sitting good as gold. Mia sitting up tall like only a 5.5 year old can do!! Her legs crossed and listening very intently to what Miss Ruth was speaking about. Not that she could tell you afterwards, but she was listening and I know that her little heart was listening too.
Another thing that amazes me is the resliance of kids... I mean really... when us adults get sick it just knocks us down and out... kids... they're sick and the moment they're better, they're off! It all started with lil Natalie on Saturday night. Up every hour from 11pm-5am puking... poor tyke... thought maybe she'd had too much sun. Nope... Sunday, Glen was down and out with the flu. Sunday night-Monday morning, Wyatt wakes up in the night pukes in bed, all the way down the hall and several more times... next morning, he's bright eyed and ready to go!! Monday morning both mom and I are puking our brains out to put it mildly... oh my... we're definitely not kids... we were SWACKED!! Glen was feeling much better so being the amazing man that he is, took the kids and went shopping for the day... mom and I literally spent ALL day in bed! Monday night, Mia goes off to sleep... the smell.... puking in her sleep and doesn't even faze her... it's clumped in her hair, smudged across every part of her face and no worries at all! A tub, a shower and she's back to bed and up and ready to go... Tuesday it's dad's turn! Yup, an adult and he's out... even took a day off work so you know it's bad!
That's our holiday so far!!! No... we did make up for the past few smelly, queazy days by granting mom the privilege of babysitting so that Glen and I could go shopping. Down to Ellenton we went... came home with a few too many bags but it was fun!
Cruise ship leaves on Monday... following 2 nights in Miami. Looking forward to the rest of our trip! I'll post pics later!
