are made up of cookies! You see... I love to cook, to bake, to be creative. So why not join them? Yes, my dream... to bake hundreds of cookies and decorate them! ha! You may laugh now but you just wait...! Ok... I'm waiting too, and I'm laughing too... But on the serious business side of things... I have a name, a logo, the perfect cookie and the missing link... the decorating! I've attempted a few times and yes... it leaves much to be desired. I've been using royal icing... it's time to use fondant! Fondant will create a perfect cut everytime... a unique, creative look that easily duplicated rather than my wobbly hands with icing... good thing I'm not a surgeon! I must say, as ugly as they look, they taste pretty good! My dream machine just might be the new Cricut Cake Machine for cake decorating.. Glen says once I make $500 with my cookies I can buy this machine... I say, you need the machine to make $500. I mean, you've got to invest before you see a profit. Cricut is a popular scrapbooking tool, albeit an expensive tool for cutting out die cuts (letters and shapes). So... I did hint at this for mother's day... I was out of luck! (But I guess the flowers, 3 types of body wash and pillow was ok too.)
My cookies will be the new black for birthday party favours, wedding favours... or just that special treat! :-)
2 more sleeps and Char and I get to go away for 2 nights SANS children and hubbies! As special as they all are, this is a highly anticipated event... scrapbook retreat... how much better can it get... scrapbook, drink coffee... eat... sleep... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Happy Mother's day to us!
And happy belated mother's day to you mom's out there... we've got the toughest job but it's worth the tears, fears and joys it all brings!
