Hmm... there is really nothing to write today but felt like sitting here and typing to someone! Like others who are following the blog on Larisa Hertz, I have tear filled eyes, thinking about what they are all going through. So many young lives lately have been touched with tragedy. Like Merlin mentioned at Glen's cousin, Tim Daku's funeral , 16 years ago, and again at Brianne Thue's funeral last summer, these events don't have to be tragedy's if we take a gift from it. I've been thinking that my little gift that I can take from these precious lives is the value of prayer. It's easy to make it habit, easy to neglect it, easy to do it half-heartidly... easy to lost focus, easy to use vain repetitions... but I think that if any of these lives could speak they would want to be more desperate in prayer, to make every prayer count in earnesty and sincerity. It's helped me to pray lately when I think of the young lives who can't pray for themselves right now. I think of Jayne in her coma, of Larisa in her heavily sedated state. We're so thankful for the prayers of others, but the privilege it is to pray for ourselves and others.
You may want to follow along too... www.larisahertz.blog.com Larisa was in a car accident and was electrocuted on the way to her best friend Emily's birthday supper.

So I guess when my kids drive me crazy, I'm thankful too for what they are and what they know, and thankful that I can pray for them, as I know our parents prayed for us.

Wow that is really sad. I can't imagine what the family and friends of that young girl Larissa, are going through! And I hope Jayne is getting better!!
