We are still alive!

Well... September has passed and October is quickly ending! I suppose I'd better write something on here :) I guess that's what happens when you work full time, you're 8 months pregnant with 2 preschoolers running around! Life passes by too quickly!

The month of September consisted of the inlaws here for 2 weeks, a quick trip to Waskisui, SK for a wedding reception of a girl I went to Uni with, and a trip back to SK for the Petersen family reunion to celebrate Grammie's 90th birthday! WHEW... I'm really ready for NO company, and early bedtimes!
October we had a cousin of Glen's from AU here for a week, and spent time out at Steve and Jen's with Glen's parents again. They left this morning for home. The kids sure enjoyed having gpa and gma around. Wyatt was quite upset this morning at the airport that he wasn't getting on the plane! He wanted to take his backpack, and go somewhere! I wish that too!! Somewhere hot and tropical... and probably no kids! :)

October also meant 2 birthdays in this house! Wyatt - 3 and Glen - 33! Wyatt was super pumped about his spiderman cake!

6 weeks left until baby #3 arrives, which means 4 weeks of work left. Technically there are 18 work days left, so that doesn't leave much time. It means that in 18 school days, I need to finish up novel studies in my ELA classes, including projects, finish off 2 chapters to conclude the unit on Japan in Grade 8 Social Studies, and finish off a chapter on European explorers to Canada and their relationships with the First Nations people, and project, in that time frame. It means a lot of marking, and doing report cards in that time frame as well! It may mean, a few Saturdays in November spent at school which I really try to avoid.

Glen informed me that he hopes that I don't plan on sleeping for the next year, that I'm meant to become organized or some silly thing! I just started laughing... He wondered why?!!! ha! I let him know that I probably would sleep away a few months, but we could try! :) 3 kids 5 and under, and organization don't really seem to be 2 things that will gel!

We've started to take the kids skating once a week to get them going. Glen plans on building a rink in the backyard this year (not on the deck this time), so it'll be good fun for the kids. Snowpants and helmets prevent a few bumps and bruises!

Mia is now in her 2nd year of violin and things are starting to progress. She had a lottery concert last week, where they had to put 10 things that they could do/play in a bag. They went up to the front and the teacher would pick something out of the bag! Then they had to do that in front of everyone! Mia did really well. She plucked one song and played one song without any help! I asked her afterwards if she thought that was fun, and she did, although admitted that she was a little scared! Her and Arianna Dodds are in the same group lesson, so that is fun for them. Because her group lesson is at 4:45, getting there from Leduc after school can be challenging, and it means that Wyatt has the "privilege" of attending too! He has been fine, and loves it. We'll most likely start him next Fall. He loves singing all the songs, and bowing along with Mia!

Ok... that's my update!

I was just going to email you and see if we could stop by about Dec 1 for a week of visiting, I mean, why not, you'll be taking time off work so it should be a great time for company, eh?? doesn't sound like you have too much to do before then either....smile - Keep your chin up, we can certainly relate with 3 kids under 4 yrs old in the house, you'll survive, well maybe others don't think we survived it too well but we're here to tell you about it anyway!!
