After a fantastically fabulous week with Dan and Nettis, we headed to Toowoomba to Darrell and Donna's. Again, amazing hospitality as we crash the siblings homes. The kids get on so great. Jenna is so sweet... after we'd left she immediately needed to facetime Mia, because she just needed to see her face! :-) Lots of the pics are on our phones... rollerskating and wet n wild on the coast... will try to upload them but the phone app isn't working right now. After leaving Dazza and Donna's, we headed to Burleigh Heads on the coast not far from Brisbane. I found my first only STARBUCKS! Ha!!! Only spent $200 there on mugs and a VENTI coffee!!! :-) Was great to have some warmth and cruisy time at the coast. One day we went with Rachelle Dent to Wet n Wild for the day while Ross and Jo went with her parents, Russell and Vonni on a dinner cruise thing. We had a great day. After wet n wild, we popped in to Greg and Analiese's place for apple crumble an tea! I met A in Sweden at convention in 1997. So cute to see her precious little family. (again, pics on cell!) Another evening at the coast, Ross and Jo took us the Australian Outback Spectacular. It was a great dinner show that featured horses and the legends of Australia through the different states. Ask Glen about my cowboy hat wearing abilities.... or lack thereof! He told me TWICE that my father would be disappointed in me!!
These first few pics are at Ebor Falls... we drove the 2 hours there to meet up with Richard and Anita Pring who were on their way home from a holiday. Richard and Glen were good friends so we met them at this chilly place for lunch to catch up.
Richard and Anita with Witta and Molly
Kids thinking they could sell water for 20 cents... no takers! :(
Lucas had his 7th birthday party while we there.
One of these boys knows Darwin! :-) This pic is for him. This is outside the Sunday morning mtg at Toowoomba
Wade and Laurelle Fletcher came to have dinner and the evening with us on Sunday when we arrived at Burleigh Heads. They are AWESOME. They introduced us to the game, Rat-a-tat-cat. So fun!
Natalie taking selfies and pictures this night while we played the game!
We really enjoyed this house... Uncle Bruce and Auntie Eunice drove from Brisbane to see us for a morning. Great folks! This is Fay and Leon's parents, who were just over here in Canada and spent a night with us.
Gma and Gpa took us to The Australian Outback Spectacular! Fun night!
Had to spend our last day at Surfer's Paradise... windy day for the beach at 20 degrees! Crazy!
