Christmas 2014

Since mom and dad have moved to Saskatoon we decided to invade them and outlive our stay!   We left here Sunday after lunch with Gma T at her place.   We had a few days before Steve and Jen arrived late Tuesday night.  Wed was her birthday which we celebrated with the awesome baking mom had ordered from Crave cupcakes.   I'm not sure I left the house more than once that week... Glen was awesome at taking the kids sledding and skating with Steve and Jen and their kids.  Glen didn't mind and I was more than content to destress and relax by doing puzzles and vegging.   We did more eating in a week than we typically do in a month!  ufdah!   Was good to make some lefse with mom... always a treat to eat that deliciousness.  We also celebrated Mia's birthday with the cousins.  Cannot believe that she's nearly 10!  The cousins do love being together and for the most part get along pretty well.   Boxing Day, Steve and Wanda and 2 girls came over for supper and games.  Was great to see them again.  We do miss them in our lil Wednesday night mtg.   Saskatchewan's a pretty good place though!  Steve and Jen left Sunday after meeting, and we came home Monday around noon.   Was a great week away and now we are putzing around the house trying to get more organized for the new year.   I'm sensing already that it's going to be a big year for us in many different ways.   But we're thankful that each day is a clean slate and each day we just need to be constant... to be steadfast in heart and mind.

Kids made their own snowboads!!  Cardboard boxes and crayons is pretty easy entertainment!

Push ups!  Natalie, "That was hard work!"

Xmas morning resulted in new PJ's and a craft from Gpa and Gma!  Pretty simple which is so nice.  It seems that Christmas gets bigger and bigger amongst the friends from the gifts, the trips and the decorating.  Appreciating simplicity... less is more, if you know what I mean.   Nothing can replace just being together.

Braving the cold weather to get out of the house for some fresh air!
 The Christmas Turkey.
Napkins mom had for xmas dinner.

Steve and Wanda's girls... Taylor and Madison.
