1st Race

We did it!!!   Char and I ran our FIRST 5km RACE!   Ya... we were pretty tough competitors on the road... :-)   However... we both got our BEST time... 31.40.... and we felt great afterwards!   A huge accomplishment and I'm anticipating the next one!!  August 24th will come quickly!!!   I stole these pictures to give u a view of our sprint finish!!  A few friends ran this race which Bonnie had organized.  So much work for her, but I know that the community appreciated it as it supported MADD and the 3 high school students that were killed recently by a Drunk Driver.  I got so excited that we were almost there, that I dropped my phone and completely smashed the front of it... sigh!! oh well!!!  Good memories!

 This picture was from the Tuesday before... my dear friend at school wanted to help me out and run after school one day... soo....6km it was IN THE POURING RAIN!!  It was fun... sort of! :-)
