The last post!

Well...of 2011 anyways!   It's a time of reflecting on the past year.  Last night, a friend said to me that 2011 had been a year of pain for her.  I ached.  It got me thinking of what was 2011 for me.  The one word that keeps coming to mind is memories.   We made lots of good memories in 2011.  For that I'm thankful.  We moved into our new home, we've had lots of company, we've been on some good trips, and we've had lots of laughs and good visits.  I'm thankful that we are a loving, memory making family. I'm thankful that this year hasn't been a year of pain.  We have known so many who would say that 2011 would be a year of heart ache, of loss, of pain...  I have so much to be thankful for.  2012 will be a thankful year.
We have enjoyed the last week off at home with the kids.   Lots of eating, playing, skating and time with friends and family.  Glen got a few projects done around the house for which I'm very thankful!!!  One was our pantry.  The house was built with 4 pitiful narrow pantry shelves.  Well... for a growing family of 5, this was not adequet.  Here are some before and after pictures... yes, it's a scary sight to behold. Sorry!  I'm thankful that we do not know what 2012 will hold.  Whatever the future, we will just trust the One who knows and glad that by doing His will, we prove His way is best... whatever, whereever, whenever that may be.

Nice to read your reflections!! 2011 for us has been a year of settling into another routine that we never thought would happen to us- spending at least 3 nights a week apart!!! Its been OK but we look forward to our times together alot more! Hopefully things will change in the near future.
