It's time for a chat... it's been awhile, so why don't you join me with a warm cup of something... I personally, am sipping a hot milk with a touch of vanilla splashed in! Wonder what you'd sip if you were here with me? Let me know and I'll have it next time you stop in for a visit! Well... maybe!
This month is going by quickly and our days pass by even quicker it seems. The morning routine of getting up and to school is somewhat established... this mom has a tough time getting out of bed, as does Mr. Wyatt. Mia on the otherhand, well... she's up and ready to head out the door... who cares if you get breakfast or have your hair done! My oh my... We drop Mia off... I love her enthusiasm and confidence in just hopping out of the car and RUNNING to school! She will not miss a day! Unfortunately for this mom, finding things to do in Leduc is hard... scrapbook store closed... ROMPS is good but Wyatt is sick of it already and he'll be there every morning with the dayhome lady when I go back to work... Wal-Mart in Leduc just doesn't do it for me.... sigh.... when the weather's nice, the park is great. Thankfully A.O. is a good friend for coffee every now and then! I have come home a couple of days and it works... I can get a few things done before having to turn around and head back... it's just the gas guzzling problem of the Pilot that makes me iffy in doing that everyday. Call me cheap...
Cookie orders still coming in... it's crazy... actually it's really funny because it's really 1 girl that keeps ordering and ordering! I've got 2 more orders to do for her this month... just finished the pirate order for her last week! So we've got an OWL theme coming up and Halloween of course! 5 dozen cookies in total for those 2 parties!
My new thing I want to try... I suppose it goes along good with the cookie thing... is CAKE POPS!
How fun are they!!!? Will have to try them for Wyatt's birthday coming up. Oh... that means it's Glen's bday too! hmm... funny story to end this post...
The kids and I go to Costco for a usual trip. I hate buying bday presents because I'm pathetic and it doesn't matter how well I know you, or if you've been completley blunt about what you'd like, I still won't know what to get you, and I'll have forgotten what you said! So I was all proud of myself for knowing that Glen wanted a new hockey bag. So there's one at Costco... great! Stick it under the cart, swear the kids to secrecy, hide it in the basement (under the bed to be specific!) and life goes on. That night Glen worked late so didn't see the kids til morning... Glen wakes up... Wyatt wakes up... Mia wakes up... Mom is pretending to sleep...
Wyatt says, "DAD!!!!! We bought you a HOCKEY BAG!!!!!"
Mia says, "WYYYYYYYYATTTTTTTTTTT!!!! You're not supposed to tell!"
Wyatt says, " Well, we did... it's for your birthday!"
Mia joins the excitement... "Ya, we got it from Costco! But DON"T go downstairs... mom hid it under the bed!!"
Mom, "GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAANNNNNNNNNN"
Glen is killing himself laughing... informs me that I need to shop on my own and finding better hiding places!!! ha... well... at least I was organized!!! Anyways... the rest of his gifts remain a secret from the kids! :)
Enjoy your hot drink now and sweet dreams!
Oh... psst... we had a fabulous week-end in Cochrane visiting Troy and Kim in their new home... was great to see them in their new setting... fall colours... so gorgeous. We had our family pictures done by the talented Jenelle with Beauti Photography and I'm soooo anxious to see what she captured... our kids were/are CrAzY!

I'd enjoy a cup of extra hot chair please!
chair??? or Chai??? :-)
Chai. My phone added the "r".
Sorry about the Scrapbook Store. I am so upset that the gals that bought it from me couldn't keep it up. I had such an awesome business there for 3 years. Have you gone to the Rec Centre and Library while Mia's in school?
