Pictures are out of order but oh well! :-)
Whew... I feel so overwhelmed that I don't even know where to begin to start! So I'll just do it short form!
1) I turned 30... yiks! Glen (and Charlene) planned the perfect surprise party for me here on the Friday night of my birthday... Can't believe they fooled me so well! THANK YOU! Lots of people, kids, food, and laughs.
2) Mia attended the Suzuki Summer Institute at the U of A. She had 4 classes per day and she has comptely and utterly fallen in love with her violin. She is incredibly musical... I never thought I'd say that I was annoyed with her practicing... I guess I have a taste of how my parents must have felt with the piano going 24 hrs/7 days a week... that is Mia on her violin. She plays anything she hears, and stomps her foot along! Darrick and Char came with us to her final concert downtown at City Hall and then we took in the Street Performers Festival while there too.
3) Lorne and Michelle and their 3 sweeties came for a visit. We met them at Slave Lake to take in the sand building competions and then back to our place where they had 4 nights. Their kids are the same ages as ours so it's perfect! Would be lovely to see more of them!
4) Aylesbury convention... so wonderful to see our old friends and all those lil kids that are now grown up! Felt like we were going home but at the same time, realized that Alberta is definitely home now, and that felt good too! Was special to see special workers... I remember in my teens writing to so many workers and friends... If I didn't have 3-4 letters in the mailbox each day, I wondered what was wrong!!!! I'm happy to get that many a year now! Must get on that again...
5) Gma Krapu and Auntie DeAnn and Michael came for a visit... was great to see them again and to meet Uncle Michael for the first time!! We WILL come to CO to see ya'll! Thanks for making the effort to come up and wished you'd stayed longer!
6) My largest D-Lish Cookie order of 6 dozen wedding favour cookies is just complete... still have 3 dozen to bag but that'll happen when this post is done!
Ya... that was the SHORT version! HA! So... I think July is almost over... 2 weeks and we're off to Florida... well... Maybe... I'm having some issues with Natalie, Wyatt's and I's passports!!!! The issue being that I MAILED them rather than going downtown... ya... probably won't have them in time! Glen and Mia may be going on their own! :-)
Oh... and I'm excited that our cruise in the Bahama's is booked for our 10th anniversary! Can't wait to go Jeeping, parasailing, beaching etc! :-)
What was your favourite summer activity this month? Hampered plans by the storms? And as I write, another one rolls in.... good night!
