Saturday was the perfect day to hit the beach. We arrived to Fort De Soto around 10:30am... about an hours drive from mom and dad's. Fort De Soto is a historic area, and the North Beach where we went was rated America's #1 Beach this year. The sand was nice, it wasn't too busy, there were some really nice camping, picnic and playground areas. The kids had a great time in the sand and water. Mia always wanting to go deeper; Wyatt building roads in the sand. Collecting seashells, and building sand castles... all made for a great few hours. Normally it's so cooking hot, you last about an hour before you need to leave. However, it was a dangerous day... the clouds were out, a bit of a breeze... made perfect beach weather, but also the perfect sunburn weather!!! We all fried. The kids were fine, but of course we sprayed THEM! Sunday found us in a lil mtg here at mom and dad's. 11 people to take part and we lasted the entire hour!!!! hmm... I seem to remember our lil Wed night mtg last week with 11 to take part and we lasted 35min!!! Now this coming Sunday will be union mtg, so we'll see how we all do!!! We travelled an hour over to St. Petersburg for a lil gospel mtg with Don and Bill. A few lil differences there too... one being that they don't close the mtg with prayer...you sing and that's it... somehow, it just didn't seem quite finished! Still the same though in what really matters.
The kids are hanging out alone today... mom will be done work early afternoon, then we may just have to get out of the house, and go for a lil shop somewhere. Sounds like Glen is working hard while we are away, so that is good. :)
