March....

Here it is already... wow... time is flying by quickly. We've past the 100 day mark of school and 2nd term report cards are due on Monday to go out on Friday. I finally have all my comments done and just need to add their marks, which means a week-end of marking for me! Sadly, it was really hard to find something to say that particular students had done well on, or to say something nice about them, honestly! It's sad how political we have to be and certainly don't say anything mean about lil Freddy. My oh my. No wonder society is lacking coping skills these days. No one can deal with failure. We are not allowed to give zero's. We chase and chase until the work is done. It makes sense because we want the kids to learn the material... but how long and how far do you chase? It's not the real world. You don't do your job and you get fired. Plain and simple. I guess in Grade 4, we'll just worry about trying to teach them something so that maybe when they do finally get into the working world, they might be able to do their job. Whether it's flipping burgers, opening the door at Wal-Mart or being a professional something!

Sad news about Bev. Breaks your heart and we're just thankful that we don't have to ask why and can leave it all in the hands of God. I just really hope that something good can come from this. I pray for my lil friend, who was so neat teaching piano too, that he'll be safe and remember the One who can encourage and comfort him.

So there's my March update. Enjoy March... ours came in like a Lion... hopefully it goes out like a Lamb!
