A time for giving... blah... a time for receiving... blah... a time for family.... sure! Christmas is just a synonym for stress!!! buy, buy. buy. Ya, it's fun to buy things for the kids and fun to watch them open presents, but really... what's the point? Now we have a 3 year old who believes whole heartedly in Santa... grrrrreat!!!! It's fun to watch her believe that Santa came and she believes that ALL her presents came from Santa. I told her to say thank you to Santa at which she became quite upset... You see... Santa left so she couldn't say thank you to him! So.. we had to prop her up at the window and look outside to see the blow up Santa in the neighbours yard... she said thank you and good-bye! Until next year Santa, and then I hope to crush her dreams that Santa isn't real!!!! Aren't I mean?!! Oh well. Got live with reality in view!
So now it's boxing day and Glen thinks we should be cleaning the house top to bottom. It sure needs it, but I could just sleep and sleep and sleep. Anyways... it's a good day to stay at home, avoid the traffic and I guess, clean the house. After all, there is meeting here tonight so things do need to get done.
The problem with having xmas dinner at someone else's house... you don't get any leftovers :) now i have to find something to feed my kids today!!! The advantage... no mess :)
Ok... time to sign off, and maybe i'll see you all in another month or so!
loves,
us
