We had cancelled xmas this year you see. Living in such materialism and STUFF, not to mention my children being royally spoiled and severe cases of the GIMMES, we decided NOTHING!
Christmas morning came, the kids slept in for there was no anticipation of gifts... this mom didn't have any stress of buying STUFF and overall, it was just GRAND! I'd ordered some dresses for the girls online so I let them wear a new dress for the day and Wyatt had a new shirt. So it worked out nicely that way.
Around 10, we headed down the QE2 to Lacombe where we were so kindly invited by Char's parents for dinner and games. It was a relaxing, laughter filled day. After a delicious turkey meal, the kids playing, and us adults playing some games, and some leftovers for supper, we headed back for mtg here.
That's been our holidays so far! :-) May 2014 be swell for you all too. Hey... at least you're not my friend who showed up to the airport today with her husband, bound for CUBA, only to discover her husband's passport had expired 2 weeks ago. OOPS. I'm not sure Christmas day was so joyous for them! :-)
