As family and friends said goodbye to Mrs. J. Adcock today, I was so thankful for what we have in Truth. This dear grandma had 10 children, many grandkids, more great grandkids and even some great-great grandkids. 1 of those sons and his wife profess... and their 1 daughter and her family profess. As I watched them mingle and then as the children followed the casket in, I was struck. Struck with the beauty of Charlene's parents. How dignified, how sober, how Godly they appeared. They stood out. It was beautiful. Then, seeing dear Char's family and how they stood out amongst the crowd. The picture of Char and 2 cousins singing together... Char in her humility and the others with a sense of air about them. All these cousins and their families, but none as beautiful as the Hughes. It struck me that it was the Spirit. It was a flame amongst darkness. I wondered if the same thought that, "Those ones are different," popped into anyone's head?
Anyways, I'm thankful for their example. I know you'll miss grandma. Grandma's are special people. I'm so thankful for the heritage that has been handed down to me.
