much to the kids (and I's!) delight! Wyatt was sure everytime we got into the car that we were going to the airport to pick up daddy! So.. finally on Tuesday afternoon, the time had arrived. The kids couldn't wipe the smiles off of their faces as they jumped up and clung to Glen like they hadn't seen him for a year! Mom and Gma are now classified as 2nd class, and only needed when absolutely necessary!!! Dad is the one to go to, the one to tell your secrets to, the one who'll give shoulder rides, and play tennis with you on the Wii! So... I'll just keep my nose into my books and enjoy the activity that goes on around me!
Glen and I left the kids in Gma's care yesterday and headed back to Ellenton to shop. Glen was on the look out for his usual plaid shorts and polo shirts. He found them and then some! A new belt, new tie! Spiffy hubby! Being pregnant and shopping isn't really exciting. You feel so fat and frumpy and nothing looks quite right... you try and imagine the before/after pregnancy look, but that thought gets squashed like a bug hitting a semi going 100 miles/hour, when you look in the mirror. ugh ugh ugh. I did find 1 shirt!
On the way home, we'd promised the kids a lil treat, so we stopped at my favourite browsing store, Target. Well... we should've just spent the day there! I found several maternity shirts and a skirt! Glen found more shorts!!! In the midst of our excitement, we did manage to remember some candy for the kids. They behaved well for Gma, making rice krispee squares, and playing with lego! I think I have 2 budding engineers on my hand... the way they play with this small lego and build, and build, and just have to make things perfect!
Anyone who survives an engineer in the house deserves an award I think!!! :) What does that mean??? I don't know... just marry one, or have a child becoming one!!!! Their minds are really quite unique! In a good way, of course!!!!!! :)
